SCOTUS Strikes Down Deportation Provision

In this Q&A, Professor Jayashri Srikantiah, director of Stanford Law School’s Immigrants’ Rights Clinic, discusses Sessions v. Dimaya, which strikes down part of the Immigration and Nationality Act that authorized the government to deport immigrants convicted of "aggravated felonies."

The American Academy of Arts and Sciences recently announced that Stanford’s William H. Neukom Professor of Law Mark Lemley has been elected to the Academy. California Supreme Court Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar, a former member of the faculty and now a visiting professor, was also elected.
