NOVEMBER 2010

Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants and Stanford Law School’s Bill Neukom

You could say that Bill Neukom ’67 knows how to call 'em. He advised Microsoft when it was still a small tech company and was GC of the software giant's legal department for almost twenty years. Then he turned his attention to another giant—the San Francisco Giants—when he became the team's general managing partner and CEO in 2008. After just two short years this self-professed die-hard Giant's fan received the ultimate prize—watching his team win the 2010 World Series. Congratulations to Bill and the Giants for their terrific win.

Real-World Experience

SLSNavigator grew from a desire to help students construct their own curriculum, to get the most from their experience at SLS, and to enable them to better prepare for their professional life after law school. It suggests courses students might consider both inside and outside the law school. SLS alumni know firsthand both what kinds of intellectual tools are most useful for their particular career paths and which daily resources they rely on to keep abreast of developments in their practice area. Students can benefit enormously from this know-how, and now we've actually built a place for alums to provide it.

SLSNavigator needs to stay fresh and relevant—to be intellectually “evergreen.” Our students are eager to benefit from your invaluable insight. Request an alumni account, take a spin, and share your thoughts at http://slsnavigator.law.stanford.edu.
