This conference brings together lawyers, scholars, politicians, activists, and students from around the country to discuss present and future issues within the progressive movement, explore the role of young lawyers in the progressive legal community, and encourage attendees to work toward social and environmental justice. Mary D. Nichols, one of California's first environmental lawyers and current chair of one of the nation's foremost environmental agencies—the California Air Resources Board—will deliver a keynote address on how California is leading the way in the fight against climate change.
