SECOND ANNUAL STANFORD CONSTITUTIONAL LAW CENTER LECTURE SERIES IN CELEBRATION OF CONSTITUTION DAY 2007
Tuesday, September 25, 2007 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m., Stanford Law School Room 290
Professor Larry Lessig, renowned expert in intellectual property, has changed his focus to the influence of money on politics. He will speak on corruption with an introduction by President Emeritus Gerhard Casper. Professor Lessig begins an inquiry into the ways in which our democracy is threatened by "corruption," and ways we might respond. Sponsored by Dean Larry Kramer and the Stanford Constitutional Law Center.

Politicians, scholars, business executives and the public often comment on the pressing need for immigration reform, but there is little agreement about what those reforms should accomplish or how to achieve them. This discussion section explores the challenges that Congress confronts in creating immigration policies and looks at how the issue serves as a case study for understanding how the legislature confronts a divisive national issue. Discussion section hosted by Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar, Professor of Law and Deane F. Johnson Faculty Scholar.
