JAMES C. GAITHER FUND ESTABLISHED AT STANFORD LAW SCHOOL
Stanford University's Board of Trustees established the James C. Gaither Fund in honor of James C. Gaither '64 on June 3, 2006. The purpose of this fund is to establish the James C. Gaither Professorship at the law school, the James C. Gaither Fellows Program, and to build capital for the law school to meet its most critical needs such as faculty salaries, faculty recruiting, curricular development, facilities and technology. To date, the Gaither Fund has raised $6 million from alumni and friends, of which $4 million will endow the professorship. The remaining $2 million, for which fundraising continues, has been dedicated to the fellows program, which will provide promising graduates the opportunity to continue their legal education and conduct research. ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF STANFORD UNIVERSITY HONORS PROFESSOR ALLEN WEINER
The Associated Students of Stanford University honored Professor Allen Weiner '89 with the 2006 ASSU Honorable Mention Teaching Award at their annual ceremony. The ASSU teaching awards are the only honors voted on entirely by students.
