PROFESSOR DEBORAH RHODE NAMED 2006 RECIPIENT OF ABA MICHAEL FRANCK PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY AWARD
On June 8, Professor Deborah Rhode, director of the Stanford Center on Ethics and the Ernest W. McFarland Professor of Law, will be presented with the prestigious 2006 ABA Michael Franck Professional Responsibility Award. The Franck Award is given to individuals "whose career commitments in areas such as legal ethics, disciplinary enforcement, and lawyer professionalism demonstrate the best accomplishments of lawyers."

WALTER J. GORES AWARD FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE PRESENTED TO PROFESSOR MICHELE LANDIS DAUBER
Associate Professor of Law and Bernard D. Bergreen Faculty Scholar Michele Landis Dauber has been given the Walter J. Gores Award, the universityís highest teaching honor. She is one of two law professors to receive the award and the first since 1977.
